The project explores the architectural implications of algorithmic design through robotic 3D fabrication. He is a leader of the firms Placemaking group, collaborating firmwide with architects, planners and interior designers on mixed-use development. A swarm algorithm based on the self-organizing behavior of ants was developed for the project to negotiate between and compresses surface, structure and ornament into a single irreducible form.
